Rhylka for braving the cold

In preparation for the opening of the brand new sauna and ice bath retreat Saunaus in Wollongong, Rhylka and I set out in the midst of winter to Scarborough beach. Armed with bags of ice to simulate an ice bath we braved the cold. The photoshoot turned out perfect with me stoked about the images developing in my camera and Rhylka being the perfect model. We had planned to empty the bags of ice into a smaller rock pool making it look like an Icelandic river, however the first wave washed away all the ice into the ocean. We nailed it with the second bag of ice though. I loved Rhylka’s vision for this photoshoot for an artistic, slightly out of focus concept.
